Unknown worms/parasites found in tank and gar. Need Help verifying it.

Hello people. As shown in the title I found some unknown worms or parasites in my aligator gar's tank and in its body after it died ( Can anybody help identify what kind of creature is this? Any kind of help are appreciated.

Those are alive? They look like seed pods of some sort. Or possibly scales off the gar near the tail maybe?

I actually pretty sure like 90% now that they are scales. It's been a long time since "I've" had a gar but I do remember seeing some scales that had come off from fights or them damaging themselves. That's probably why it died it probably jumped or bolted and hit the top or side.
