Tangs are bad luck. I bought a yellow tang today, and on the way home I missed my exit and drove 15 miles out of my way, then once i got back on track i got a flat tire. After changing the tire, I got home just in time to catch my Golden Retriever eating the last of my leftover pizza (which was supposed to be lunch). When I walked upstairs I found a note from the girlfriend that says "We need to talk". Now i know these are isolated incidents, but I named the tang 13 cause he is wayyy unlucky

I'm fairly new to the fish scene, but I've read that tangs are farily sensitive fish to begin with. Is this true.

Welcome to MFK!!!

There USED to be alot of problems keeping tangs because of water quality and dietary issues. Lately, though, even a little bit of research and tank preparation goes a long way towards keeping tangs nice and healthy. Figure out which species interest you. Check 'em out and let us know if you have any questions.

You'd probably receive alot more feedback if you post this question as its own thread. Putting it here following a thread of this type is just:

Ditch the girl, sell the car and get another tang.

Oddball... I just had a sailfin die.... are they that sensitive? The stuff I read before gettig one lead me to belive they were kinda hardy.

Ouch man. that sucks.
