IN A PLACE
So I need a sanity check from folks that keep/have kept a lot of fish over the years.

I have lost what seems (to me, at least) a disproportionate ammount of fish to swim bladder disease. There are few causes why this happens, zero effective treatment, and it's really frustrating.

Here are my fish who have passed away due to swim bladder--namely, they can't swim upright, sit on the bottom of the tank, often upside down, stop eating and waste away.

These were kept in a 375g tank: Both happened a few years ago.
30" fire eel--kept for 5 years
24" fire eel-was a replacement and got swim bladder after a few weeks.

In my 1100g
20" Kelberi Bass--kept for 4 or 5 years, happened about a month ago.

In a 125g by himself:
14" fahaka puffer--raised from 2" about 2 years ago, just happened this week.

Random bad luck or something else? Swim bladder is pretty rare, and I keep up on tank maintaince, and other fish in the tank don't have this...
