id like to get one more cichlid for my 4 ft 80 gal tank. i have a 6" dempsey and 5" green sev. i have convicts and firemouths in other tanks so i dont want those. i had a salvini in there but it died, plus w/ black gravel the salvini was very dark and bland so dont want that again. was thinking about a texas but that might be too big..... any suggestions??

A texas would be nice in there. Shouldn't outgrow an 80 gallon as long as it is 18" wide.

i think a texas in addition to the other 2 would not work in an 80g, i would try doing like another type of severum or something along those lines that is more peaceful

I think a lot depends on the temperament of your current Dempsey and Sev as well as the filtration of the tank.
