Who done ate the atf?

Had 2 atf in the below community pictured tank for about 2 months or so, one recently got seperated to the armatus/cuda growout tank because the pair kept slashing one another.

They were both about 4 inches.

For size reference, the rock in the tank where the offence occured is about 7-8"'s at the base.

My guess is that Lates of yours, they've got huge mouths.

yep my guess too. see that buldge in his belly. opps... good warning, i had planned to put this guy with other larger atf once it grew out. plans change.

Is that red snook in there? I hear they are pretty nasty too.

dont be, you're living in one of the best regions for collecting specimens from around the world!

red snooks got the bucket mouth thing going on. they can stuff 2-3 feeders in their mouths at once, but they dont have teeth, so if the fish it's trying to eat is too long, it can wiggle out. so dont think it was them.

dont know much about catfish but double checked with LFS last night whether the cats in the tank could've done it. reply was not at this size.

Did poor lil' atf jump out of the tank, I would check the floor...
then again, better luck next time.

yea i checked around the tank, no body, no smell (yet)
