I got all my setup and equipment 2nd hand, all works fine but few small issues.
Main one being, my pumps that I got, one of them the little suction pads at the back, there all their and look ok, but they just don't stick anymore at all. Is their anyway to make them sticky again? Or once their dead are they dead?
Also my larger pump (it's a big old biolife) the type that is full width of the aquarium nearly and is held onto the tank side glass by pads or a bracket which slips onto another bracket attached to tank side...
The biolife pump has no brackets at all and no suction pads... So currently it's in their just hanging by some makeshift/temporary solution for the sake of it being on for cycling etc.
But now the time for putting fish in is nearing, I really need a permanent solution (that don't look ugly)....
All I can think of is buying some suction pads and somehow gluing them to the actual pump (as their is no bracket etc). What worries me here is what can I stick it with, that will be strong enough and safe for my fish... Remembering the pump will be sitting inside the tank submerged under water etc...
Can anyone suggest something to stick it on with? Or even better another type of solution that will work?
Also are the thing I'm describing (suction pads) called that by other fish keepers? or do they have another name?
Thanks guys
