Wanted to see if anyone else has an unusually combination of fish that seem to be friends. "Friends" means that they hang around eachother more than other fish in the tanks, sharing homes, feeding peacefully together, and generally staying close.

Friendship 1:
Black Ghost Knife, Oscar and Sengal Bichir, these guys are the BFF's of my tanks. It is very rare that these guys are not around eachother. Its actually hard for me to get a pic of one of them without one of the others in the shot.

Friendship 2:
4 tinfoil Barbs and Firemouth, my firemouth appears to school with my tinfoil barbs, which I think stems back to him being harrased when first introduced by my female jack who didnt like him much (now he flares up at her when she comes near, she flee's).

Friendship 3:
This friendship scares me, It s between my small 3.5" female jack and my even smaller 1.5" Acei cichlid. First of all my Female Jack can be a B****, she used to be really bad but after I introduced her to my big male jack a month or 2 ago and he beat her up, I put her back in the growout tank and she's more docile but stills doesnt like my tinfoil barbs, severum and pearl cichlid. And recently she ate a 2" rainbow shark that I thought there was no way it could fit in her mouth. But this little acei seems to get a free pass with her, they feed side by side, FACE TO FACE, and when I flip the light on in the morning they are almost always sleeping pretty close together.

What are some of your fish's friendships?

Well, I had a peacock eel that was friends with a molly fry. It never did try to eat the molly. The molly would pick bits off the eel and eat right there at its mouth. The eel could have easily swallowed the fish.

My LMB and two huge female guppies are best buds. Until his mouth gets big enough...

They actually school together and 'play' with each other. It's really cute.

#1 comet goldfish and LMB. Lasted until my Dempsey ate the goldfish.

#2 LMB and school of Giant Danios. He ultimately ate them.

#3 Blue Channel Cat and Poly Sen. The cat tries to eat him all the time, but he's far too big. They hide together under a log at night and "hunt" next to each other.

A member on here has a 125 gallon tank i've seen in person with all SA cichlids... he threw a swordtail in there he had leftover from his kids' tank (they were getting rid of it), expecting it to last a week or so. It is still alive much later, and is the MEANEST swordtail i've ever seen.
He is a full on glass banger, trying to attack anything that comes close to the tank.

Blue channel and fire eel bff...
