anything that's not to aggressive or so small it'd become food will work fine- they are passive monsters. 12'' max. very cool knife. from south america.

they always do better in calm tanks
and less competition for food
BGKs can become really personable and will also eat out of the owners hand and grow tooo slow
bgks must be kept single in small tanks as they are conspecific aggressive
