My fish are ultra shy for some reason, when my datnoid is fleeing the rest of them follow

When I put in hide spot, I can see no fish in the tank except stone and plant

When I take away the hide spot the datnoid becomes black and all of my other fish stuff themselves behind the sponge filter :irked:

When I left the room and peak at the corner, they all come out x.x

Any suggestion of how to make them not scare of people?
(Cannot move the tank to high traffic area)

My stocklist and I will post picture later

two 5" peacock bass
one 5" RTCxTSN
one 4" cichlid
one 5" pike cichlid
one 1" NTT
one 2.5" IT
one 4" NGT
one 6" IT

This is what my tank looks like, maybe the light is a little too bright? and you only see two fish in the pic, the rest disappear x.x

not to be a butt.. but my spidersence just sent a tingle saying.. Do not mix big cats with small dats! (judging by your post-1000 posts you probably know that allready..)

if it is a high trafic spot then the shyness will eventually go away by itself.. hopefully they will make a u-turn and become puppies instead.. :) all the fish you have listed are right on top of the list of fish that will basically give you a phonecall at work threathening to eat your cat if you dont drag your ass home and feed them NOW!

if its your smaller Dats then this is common-they will get braver as they get bigger and more confident. Patience really is the key

Just have to wait it out. Check my recent post regarding stabilising tigers, it may help.
If you added more, it is more likely, the'll start swimming together. But it will likely to take time due to size of yout tigers. Also, looks light T5 light you got there. Probably too bright, so lower lighting levels, and as others have said, when small, tigs are generally shy, and get braver the bigger they get.

get that cat and the bass out as soon as posible.i say within 1 month you will not see the dat in there anymore.they grow to fast for the dats
