Is it possible to remove them?? I'm not trying to empty the tank or anything and don't really want to add any other type of fish. Any advice is appreciated.

Drop a small jar with lettuce in it. Take it out the next day. Repeat till there are no more snails.

Consider a loach if able. It'll eat them all.

I'll have to try the jar suggestion. Might get a loach if he jar method doesn't work. Thanks for the input.

You may not be able to eradicate all the snails, but should get a lot of them...

I use assassin snails. Snails eating snails. They will quickly eat any pesky snails leaving behind only a shell that you can then easily vacuum out. They also reproduce very slowly. I've had mine for about 6 months and just the other day saw a single baby one cruising around the tank.

Instead of evicting them, you should thank them for cleaning your tank.
I love biodiversity. Nature had a plan when she came up with snails...

What kind of snails? They may not be detrimental. But yes if you just want to get rid of them then gouramis, cichlids, and botiine loaches will significantly reduce the population. Especially the loaches, as mentioned by others.

Depending on the fish you keep you could also probably use salt. If you're feeling really adventurous then potassium permanganate or copper will work too. Just be careful when using copper in freshwater as your alkalinity must be a minimum of 100ppm and it's rough on the biofilter.

I agree with Harley... snails are a great thing to have in your tank especially a planted tank. Also if you do not over feed your fish your snail population won't explode... I never unstood why so many people don't like snails..

After 26 years I've never had a snail(by accident). I did try to buy 2 saltwater snails for my crab tank but the crabs killed them.

I'm afraid my goldfish might kill them in the freshwater tank...so I haven't tried in that tank.
