I know I'm not the only person in the line of fire for this huricane but we do have quite alot to do to get ready for it. So I probably won't be on much until after it passes. Cross fingers and hope we dont lose any one (fish or family). Good luck and be safe to you other members who are facing the storm!

Hope everyone in the storms path comes out the other side A ok. Rode thru a couple hurricanes myself when younger in Houston, can definitely by crazy scary.

Worst one I had to ride out was Alicia in 83. It was a Cat3 hurricane when it hit land. Dropped so much water the people downstairs had to come up and ride it out with us. Thier apts were under 4ft of water. My mom's car was completely submerged, and moved to a bottleneck in the flow of water, along with all the other cars in the parking lot. Came aground at night, had to have all of our windows wide open or it would just blow them out. We had to all hide in the kitchen, the gust of winds were so strong in the rest of the house it would knock you over.

Over in the UK we get the remnants of your hurricanes a few days later. But by the time they get to us they've usually run out of puff thank god.
