Here is an update on my current collection. I decided to do some hardcore feeding today with the cat as you can see. He had to eat atleast 20 nightcrawlers. Too bad this is probably going to be the last time you guys see him. He has to go.

My photo skills seem to be a bit rusty but I did finally get some decent shots of my bowfin. Only took a few months!

Thats a fat cat! Very nice Bowfin and bass too!

Well originally I had plans for the cat but they fell through and he is getting way too big for his 55 gallon. So now I have a grass pickerel coming here this week and I need to get rid of the cat before that because I need his tank space. It is soooooooo sad to see him go because he is my first big cat and I love showing off his eating skills to everybody that comes over and he is just so beautiful but he is still growing like a beast at 11". I got him in I think august and he was 9" then so still keeping up at an inch a month. Thanks for all of your comments though.

To the store unfortunatly:( . But I work with them alot and am going to make sure that he goes to a big home. Atleast a 240 I am thinkin.

So your plans to keep the Pickeral and the others are better than this one falling through right? What happens when the rest are getting too big.. None of my business really.. But was reading another post and thought these are actually good questions :) So i though i'd ask.. Nice set up.. And wish you could keep your prize fish. :(

Yea I understand why you ask but infact it is easier to follow through with my plans for the other guys because they are natives and can be outside. I have an 800 gallon pond in my backyard that they will be living in or maybe I will even make a pond in my basement. The problem with the cat is that it needs heat and if I made a pond for him I would get a massive amount of evaporation and the electric bill would be outrageuos. I have decided that I am going to keep mostly natives from now on or atleast until I get my own house and pay the electric bill myself. Thank you for the concern though
