He is very large for a male Hystrix, all my males stopped growing at about the 10" mark,my largest female being 15".
Always nice to see updates on these great rays....take a few more pics of them.
 
Nice update:) Did he ever show interest in the other female?

the motoro bred with the male and female? lol. jk. So the male hystrix shows no interest? thats crazy. My male chases the female now and latches on to her but he cant seem to get under her. She tries to stab out his eyes with her stinger when he latches onto her.

Ha ha, no I had two females with him. No luck, bit my male motoro bred them both. I'll dig up the video of that.
