I wouldn't just because when they get hungry they will munch on anything that flaps in their face. I had one a while back that destroyed my arowana, I got rid of it shortly after because I didn't want him to munch on my ray. Also they can be pretty messy. Just my experience though.

I realy don't know.. Have heard many different storys. Bert is 1 year in the tank with the rays. I give him non stop food maybe that will help..
