update: mata mata tank

spent some time playing with the camera last night and got some half way decent shots of the tank so here they are:

nice! would you suggest the mata combination with fish? how aggressive are they? any signs of aggression from the mata?

so long as the fish are large, there is not a problem. sometimes the fish will actually pick on him (i.e. the oscar picks the turtle up and moves him out of his area.)

The tank that he is in now is a 135 gal and I have had the mata cohabitating with other fish for 2 years now. it is not possible for him to hurt them since he has almost no jaw strength, matas use suction to eat their food and cannot bite down on anything with any power.
