Update of Alligator Snapping turtle w/new friend

Got my AST when he was about the size of a quarter overall. He has grown really fast. He eats all sorts of fish and shrimp, I can't remember the last time I gave him live food. Mine is the bigger one, the smaller one I gave to a buddy. Here is him when I got him.

Here he is almost 2 years later with his new ??snapping turtle?? buddy. The AST was the size of the smaller on when I got him 2 years ago.

I love gators does he lure yet?

He's been doing that since I got him. Because I feed him cut fish now, when I do throw some feeders in there he will kinda just chase them down. Almost like he forgets. After he tires (couple minutes), he lays still, opens up, and waits.

Thats way cool the young ones are always inpatient or maybe the old ones are just lazy either wau I love to watch the unsuspecting fish get devoured by what they thought was food

Wow it's beautyfull..How much did you paid for those guys?

I believe we paid 60-75 for the gators because we got two at once. The common I got for free, found him aimless swimming in the middle of the lake just waiting to get eaten. He must have just hatched because he couldnt dive under yet.

The two are actually kept in the same tank with no issues whatsoever. The gator eyed him up at first when i put him in, but he was quickyl distracted by me adding some shrimp and cut fish.
