I picked up six of these guys in late september, early october , i am down to three now and here are some pics of the biggest one , i am guessing male . He is hard to capture in pics as he runs away from the flash. He is a lil aggressive now , doesn;t run the tank but that will quickly change , but he will get his own tank before then

Cornbread... what size tank are they in? I was growing out 6 in a 60 and have slowly had to remove the larger ones..... they are vicious lil buggers!
 
2 i have in two separate 40 gal breeder and the smallest one i got growing out a in a 15 gal , mine not so aggressive yet , one have a pair of cons to keep him in line and the other is gradually going on the dominate ladder
 
Believe it or not, I had a 1.75" male Istlanum in a divided tank across from a 2.5" Beani.... the Istlanum got thru the divider and put a beating on the Beani! Beani died a few days later :cry: (and so did my $90) and the male was shipped off to Ewok as punishment! :irked:

Thats how i lost three of mine when i first got them i took the biggest one out the batch in put him in the 40 so as to not have all the fry together and i lost him the next day , then as they got bigger i put the biggest one in the 55 gal and my red terror killed him and then my con female killed one so now i am down to three i was more concerned about them killing other fish and they got killed
 
Where'd you get your stock? Our first batch/Group buy was off a gentleman off Aquabid... they were 1". I bought 6, traded one away so I'm down to 5. Then, we did a group buy from Don Conkel and I ordered (but haven't taken delivery yet) 2 - 2.5" pair and a half dozen 1". Kinda over stocked on Istlanums but you have to take advantage sometimes of the Group Buy and make it worth wild.... that's where I get in trouble!
