nice fish what kind of catfish is that and will it eventually be with your other fish

Its an Electric catfish, most likely one of the dwarf species 12" max, its quite rare to find the huge ones in a lfs.
he was under 1" when I got him so hes in his own 20 gallon feeding up, hes already 2" so hes gonne go in with the others once he has grown a little more. the Champsochromis Caeruleus (african cichlid that looks like a pike) already ate a 2" zebra danio feeder this morning so Won't be risking the electric in there til he is about 5" or so, for now he has tons of room and loves to swim around hes quite personable. even if he does have a constant derpy expression on his face!

Would like to add that the stock is

x1 Champsochromis caeruleus
x2 Ptychochromis sp. "Northern Red Fin" (madagascan cichlid)
x1 Vieja (syn or Bifa not sure)
x1 Green Terror
x1 Red devil
x1 Chocolate cichlid
x1 Senegal Bichir
x7 Columbian red fin tetra (mature 3"-4" large bodied fish)
x4 Black skirt tetras

The Tetras are quite old now and they were in the electric catfish tank, I moved over the columbians as dithers and well the others just came over too because they looked Lonely. works great at spreading the aggression, Because I have 3' of width and several caves and rocky outcrops I don't seem to get any aggression. Most dominant fish would be either the Red Devil or the largest fish which is one of the Red Fin Northerns.

No problem, just took some sorry if the quality is bad.
as you can see I have a lot of space.

thats 3 seperate caves in the rocky outcrops and I havent seen any of the fish use them for shelter yet, in fact everyone gets on great!

Keep an eye on that catfish, it will soon be large and can pack a good volt. They really do best with fish you do not mind losing at some point.

Yeah I am thinking of just keeping him separate for a while, hes quite fun to watch on his own anyway.
