Update of my Aligator Gars (August 15-2010)

Hello guys,

Got these babies on August 8, 2010 at close to 4 inches each.

In exactly one week, they have grown by about an inch.

(I know, it hard to believe. I will take an "official" measurement using a scale once a month to get exact readings)

Diet is exclusively feeders for now. I will get them to switch to sea-food once they are old enough.

looking good...and you can definitely expect continued rapid growth from that guy...gators grow quite fast in their first year. i would expect him to be around 8" by the end of the month, if not more (which could easily be the case). good luck!--

Very nice, im looking for getting a gar soon, probably not a gator but something definately. It will continue growing like that the next year or so, just like Solomon said.

I don't know if everyone else feels the same, but (unlike little FL Gars) these little guys are not "cute".. They are freaking menacing even at this size. Just look at those eyes!
