When I first got him January 9th.

Today 4/1/14

"He" (I don't know if it's male or not) was bought as a red devil + FH hybrid. I don't see the FH in it but maybe that's just me. I can't tell if it's grown either I'm bad at judging that.

I see blood parrot in it

KKP to be more specific

I don't see any BP in that fish however it does look like an Amphilophus citrinellus not an Amphilophus labiatus. It has a great profile very nice looking fish.

Anything is possible it came from shark aquarium, what makes you think citrinellus over labiatus? I am no expert but the lips made me think red devil.

The face is cit all the way.

Gotcha, like I said I really don't know enough to characterize them like that. I liked his fins (don't know if those are normal amphilophus fins or if that's the alleged FH in it). I know I hope the nuchal hump grows and that it's male. Luckily it's still afraid of my hand but it attacks it's reflection and the camera.

Beautiful fish! Regardless of what it is. Been doing allot of reading on these lately and red devils and midas are cross bed so often its hard to find pure bred so I would guess midas x red devil cross. not really a red devil profile and not true midas profile. But again cool fish!
