Here is a lil video update on my Ornatums, Festae, Synspillum, and Sajica. they are all doing great. it seems as if the ornatums are slow growers. they arnt displaying adult colors but what they are showing really glows. what a great looking fish, i am glad that i was able to get some when i did:) they are all about 3" except the syns which the largest ist around 5". what amazes me is that there is very lil aggression in this tank... but i am still keeping a close eye on everyone;)

Nice video and fish Jason! What are you feeding? Do you plan on keeping the ornatum and festae together long term?

I have my fingers crossed that both species will cohabitate well at my place. I'll get a video of my little grow out's soon too. My ornatum are only about an 1" and the festae are a solid 1/2" now. Both species are in my 125 gallon.
 
thank you guys:)!! Justin i am feeding almost everything under the sun;) J/K... they love sprulina soft pellets, i feed that mixed with massivore, hikari gold, veggie flakes, omega one color pellets, NLS pellets, and on occassion live blackworms, talapia, and shrimp. they all eat well and are healthy. I also do water changes every 3 days and i dont plan on keeping them together for too much longer, prolly 2-3 more months. it depends on how things make out. but as soon as i am able to start pairing then they will be moved into their own tanks:) but for now there is harmony in the tank and im not gonna mess with it;)
 
Nice update video Jason that group looks so natural together I love the male sajica and the syns are coloring up nicely but the ornatum and festae are the stars of the show. Great tank and video if I only had 1 tank I would be very happy with that combo.
 
Jason here is a pic of a male festae from the same batch as yours it was taken by buddah12000 yesterday. You gotta love the colors on this little guy.

Thank you Ira. I only wish that this community would last a long time but i think things are gonna change here in a couple of months. And that male that buddah has looks really good! Ill get some updates of my other festae tank this weekend after i do a cleaning. I too have a male from my group that is lookin good too. just wish i could get any indication to determine my females;) lol
 
I hope that combo lasts for a long time I watched the previous video several times and couldnt get enough. The color on John's male is outstanding, your festae and mine look the same we need to get the color formula from him to spice our guys up lol.

Color formula:) ha ha. yeah that and a nice camera;) the festae from my pair are Black and Yellow with vibrant red fins, almost like hornets. the ones i got from you have a reddish brown base more brown than red to them and look alot like Johns, but his has a nicer red tone. i think that is because my ornatums are dominant over the festae otherwise they might be showing a lil more;)

And i agree with the tankmates, i love this combo and cant wait till everyone starts coloring up.
