Update on 12'' silver arowana

hey guys it seems that the silver arowana i recently bought is starting to heal. His barbells should be growing back soon. I have some pics of the before and after, sorry the pics aint that good i guess shes a little camera shy.

Also what would you guys say the best thing to feed her would be? ive been giving her omega one cichlid pellets.

yo, try out hikari food sticks (great nutritional value for arowanas) as a new type of pellet, and maybe freeze-dried krill to bring out that pinkish color

looks like a good enough size to add live superworms to it's diet. mine grew real nice on those. hikari carnivore sticks and freeze dried krill are great too. one of the stickies above tells you everything you can/should be feeding at various sizes. my aro also had to grow back his barbels and they came back perfect. best of luck with yours!

Hey guys thanks for the reply. I will be making a trip to my LFS later on today, i hope they have food sticks, but i will also be getting some freeze dried krill to try that out as well. I have tried feeding my ARO freeze dried blood worms and she doesnt even touch it.

Your fish is healing good. +1 on the food sticks, also feed market shrimp/prawn.

Hey joseph all i could find was Tetra cichlid jumbo sticks. see in the link below.
i hope these are just as good as the hikari food sticks.

there is a pack with a silver arowana in the front too.. they are the same.. thats what i use.. no harm in mixing the cichlid pellets with these sticks as long as ya aro eats them..

oh okay thank kaya. Ill deff get some and of those and feed the other ones to my cichlids
