I picked up this guy from my LFS. They didn't know what he was, but they'd had him for a LONG time. He was about 2.5 inches and thin. Now he's about three inches and OBESE. I've added mollies and a Golden CAE to provide competition, but he's just so fast and greedy that it's only helping slightly.
For the record, I do consider myself very fortunate to have happened upon such a random catfish. I wish I had the resources to buy a group of cories or conspecifics, but I don't. Not that he seems lonely or shy, but it would be preferable.
