update on female wolf cichlid

first off i want to say thanks to all the help you guys gave me when i was adding, a female wolf cichlid to my male dovii. i did make a divider with a few holes in it small enough for her but to big for him. she has only went over to his side a few times but gets chased right back to her side. anyways just letting you all know that she has laid eggs all day today. wow i had no idea that there would be so many. is there anything i need to do now for the male to fertilize them? or will he know what to do? she laid the eggs on her side but i put a big piece of slate at the bottom of the divider so that is what she laid her eggs on. hopefully he can do it from there. what do you think?

He can do it through the divider but Ive had much more success when the female lays on the males side.

I haven't had any luck breeding with a divider, but it is done all the time by others. If the male is fertile, and is in the mood, he will find a way to fertilize the eggs.

He will know what to do, mother nature teaches them.

It may take some time though, young males may take a while to understand the concept, you cannot teach it to him.

thanks for the info everyone. i dont think he fertilized them. most of the eggs are turning white. i thought i read that if the eggs turn white that meant that they didnt get fertilized and were dead eggs. does anyone know if this is true?
