1 week later, growing like weeds

If anyone can i.d the Vieja it would be very appreciated :) Bought as a Viaja Maculicauda..
Was pointed out to me by modest_man that it is unlikely that it is infact a blackbelt.

Looks like Viaja Maculicauda to me but I'm really not 100% sure. I know you bought Dovii but I'm still seeing Jag what did you find out? Nice growth by the way.

Looks like it to me too, but i have never kept any vieja before, so i only have google images to compare with.

Yes they were listed as Dovii's, but i'm getting more and more positive they are either jags, or a hybrid between the two. (they are still showing blue on theire cheeks, which i haven't seen in jags before, only on the fins)

Nice stock. They look like jags to me, my little guy has blue all over his cheecks and down his body although its more of a teal colour.

Same, very nice stock but those are Jags. Probly better as a Jag is easier to house then a Dovii and will be more tolerant of tank mates.
I bought 6 dovii (or so i thought) to get the nicest single wet pet

Too bad it didn't work out though, really had my hopes up, and had taken down 3 tanks, to make room for what i thought i was going to buy for the dovii.

I must admit, i'm glad i decided to keep and grow these out though. They are constantly flaring and even liplocked a couple times at 1-1.5" haha.
They are definatly crazy little sob's with loads of attitude

The previous male jag i had, was the most timid thing in my tanks, and would get bullied by my salvini at 1/3 the size of him.

These are definatly more to my liking

they are young, they look like the 6 doviis i bought from rapps give them a chance.

I gave 2 away to my uncle, and keeping the rest to grow out and see how they turn out, and what exactly they turn out to be, jag, hybrid or whatever.

Can you post pictures of yours?
