well today he is eating pellets!!!!!!!!!!Took him awhile but i did it. Now my next question is how much should i feed him he wont stop....
Shrimp pellets and oscar grow.

well it depends how big he is but a LMB will eat A LOT of food. Ask people with pbass they will eat about the same amount. I would feed him until you can see his belly starting to bulge. If you had to starve him a while till he ate them he is going to need a pretty good size feeding

I give mine a dozen large pellets a day. By the way, you should upgrade food. Go with Omega One Large Cichlid Pellets, and Hikari Bio-Gold. You will see the difference.

I do not feed my bass everyday. It is more natural for them to eat on a non schedualed basis and actually more healthy because they can purge thier system. I feed mine as much as he will eat and then I just feed him whenever I want to again. Usually no more then every three days. Every once in a while I will feed him on a thursday and go away for the weekend and he won't get fed until monday afternoon. It is more like every other day though.

Good going on getting your LMB to take prepared food!!I just got rid of mine (no i didn't release it in a body of water,i can already see you guys jumping all over that one) and got some Pike Cichlids:):) But congrats anyway because i couldn't get mine to take prepared.

I also would feed as chad described, predators are not meant to eat everyday, frequent short term fastings are good for predators of all types, even the family dog.
