update on my bass

These guys are growing so fast. Getting nice and thick and some nice yellows are starting to come in. The big guy has to be every bit of 8 inches now or very close to it, I'd say the smaller guys are 6-6.5" but no where near as thick. The first few shots are the big guy and there's a few shots with the small guys.

I think I'm close to having these guys pellet trained. They are eating pellets if stuffed in tilapia but still hit and spit lone pellets. Fingers crossed, hopefully soon they will be eating pellets on their own.

Thanks dudefish82 , these guys aren't really anything special but they are such personable fish. I swear they actually play with my kid lol she runs around the tank and they chase her around, they're a trip. They definitely know that we take care of them, hand feed and all.

Get a laser pointer or some nerf darts for them. They'll watch children's television too, no lie.

Lol I'm gonna have to try the laser pointer, i can believe it will work though. These guys chased a fly around for hours the other day before i was finally able to swat it lol.

Can confirm cichla love children's tv. I used to set up the laptop for the bass I got from heatherbeast and they'd sit and watch for at least an hour. The flashier and brighter the colors the better.

A buddy of mine has a yellow tennis ball that he throws around the house for his dogs to play fetch with. The bass will chase the ball if its thrown by the front of the tank and they will chase if you bounce it in front of the tank to. My babies that are around 3 inches were chasing a fly the other day my girlfriend told me. Ill have to try the childrens tv. lol
