well since i got him last friday it took him about 4 days to eat a minnow, as each day passes he gradually ate a few more and so on. as of right now he eats like a pig. i find a place which has minnows big enough for him to swallow. hes only about 4-5" maybe so i tossed in a nice size minnow and he inhaled it so fast it wasnt even funny (not even my caribe piranha ate one or got to it that fast) then i threw another one in and he inhaled it too, he was swimming around with his mouth half open and you could see the minnows mouths just a breathin lol... he ate another one since then and is on the prowl for another one, tomorrow ill take a pic of the guy now and then you could give me your thoughts. :)

Glad to hear he's doing well. For smaller pbass I would feed as small of minnows as possible to help him get them down easier. Less the feeders suffer plus easier for him to eat.

hes been eating about 5-10 minnows a day....what can i expect for growth rate on this on on wicked water conditions, high temp, and fed every single day

iceman,

i feed my baby pbass 3 times a day, a big meal when the lights come on, a light meal around 6 pm (bloodworms or brine shrimp) and just before the lights go out they get another big meal (hunky market shrimp, raw tuna or krill with bloodworms or brine shrimp).

At least a inch a month if not more on live food. Seem to grow faster on live for some reason..

thanks for answering that...i figure they should grow more then an inch a month tho because of how big they get.

Not really.. Will take them 2 years to get 2ft, so inch a month is about normal.
