Hi Everyone,
Got to say this guy is growing fast, a couple of pics a month old, he was about 2.5"(6cm)then. I am talking about total length here(tip-tip)

When I got him I wasnt very keen about having him for long, now I started loving this guy.
Comments and criticism are welcome!
Thanks!

Thanks, for the appreciation people.

My texy slightly slowed down the growth rate, now about 5+"(including tail) in its second month, its double the size I got him. Hes the biggest fish in my tank in just two months(my firemouth(about 5") and jewels(over4.5") took over a year to attain that size) Hes becoming a brute by age, I guess I have a little time left to remove the tankmates, before they are killed. Even though a terror, strangely this guy never preys tiny loaches that inhabit the same tank, he never touched a single feeder even after starving him for a couple of days:screwy:

Fat boy, my favourite jewel out of the trio I have, the only tough nut for the texas, I guess he'll make a good tankmate for texy in long terms as well.

A question:Carpintis grow about 12" including or excluding tail?

Sexy fish yo. I love escondidos. That shot of you jewel is nice too. That's a striking jewel.
