update on my mangroves

Both getting bigger.....I think I have the locale now...but I can disclose it as it may be a new subspecies or locale.

The pattern is changing more and more.....the ocelli on both animals are getting bigger, and getting more yellow with age.

yes, Varanio, how friendly are these beasts??

Friendly.....is not a word I would incorporate with monitors....They accept you around while you are doing maintnance and such, but they are not like bearded dragons that you can pick them up and hold them. They are shy animals when young ...............but they are highly intelligent. Which is why I love keeping varanids most out of any reptile.

I was going to....so that I can house some other animals, but it all fell through.... I am on the wait list for V. Varius and in the meantime I can house them in my reptile room. Since my mertensi and Varius are going to be outdoor indoor cages I have alot of spare room to really take on the indicus complex of which little is known about.

Im hoping the mertensi and varius are bred this year. I have the cages ready now its up to the fella breeding them to get some eggs. ha ha ha ha ha
