Update On My New Sen

Well, some of you may remember I ended up getting a 9" Sen last week for my bichir tank, which had a damaged nose/upper lip - which was actually pretty bad.

Here are some pics to show how she's doing now:

I'm not sure if I showed just how bad it was last week, but I assure you, it's MUCH much better.

How do you sex them? I read the males have 'longer' fins..That dosent help much...?

Thanks... I'm very happy she is doing better.


Males will have a thicker, almost swollen-looking anal fin compared to a female. If you have an adult male and an adult female next to each other, you'll be able to tell which is which.

It basically has. The redness has gone, and the wound is healing extremely fast. Another couple of days and I'll bet you won't be able to tell anything was wrong.
