Here are some nice new photos of them. Everyone is eating and the small ones have gained a couple inches.
The cuvier is the omega of the pack while the two biggest and most silver colored maculata are the alphas.
I have seen the cuvier try to bully the smallest maculata only to be attacked by the biggest maculata as punishment. Attacks happens within seconds of each other ans atbworst leave the loser missing scales.
They are still in a 75 gallon together. Nitrates max out at 30ppm before water changes that happen every threee to four days. Depends on how much nitrate creeps up. Filtration is two seachem tidal 110s.

Nice, I do not see these kept very often. Tank looks great too.

I'm planning to have my 75 be just like this, haha. Right now I only have a HUGE hujeta/rocket gar that is an absolute BEAST. Mine is only a little skittish, which is a bit strange considering his tankmates - a 5 inch Payara (growing him out), a 4 inch Jack Dempsey, a 6 inch mystery gourami (Not a giant, I've checked), and a 6.5 African Featherfin Catfish. The hujeta lets me clean the algae off of the glass with a razor, change water, even stays still so I can pet his lil head. I've had him since he was about an inch or so. He's survived a move, to. I think that yours will get used to it eventually, but when I get new fish I always put them in a huge bucket with the bubbler while I clean... Good luck.

Thanks. I Think my species is just always going to be skittish..They have calmed down. But I had to get a light that simulates sunrises and sunsets and moonlight to help. They also are sensitive to nitrates. Anything above 10 and they stress out. Here is a photo taken yesterday. The tank is dirty lol

The light definitely will help. I have one as well, and if I notice the big guy acting worried I just turn on the cloudy or night time light settings for 15 minutes or so. Easy peasy.
