update on my sick moto

Good news...bad news The good news is he is eating ... only blackworms he can't seem to chew the earthworms, he covers them and chews and chews but never eats them (so we have to take them out). The bad news is after we did the 90% w/c and added the ammo-lock and salt our new readings are:
nitrates- .25
nitrites- 40
P.H.- 6.0
we did the w/c on friday night and the test readings are from today. Also how long will the false ammonia reading happen after adding the ammo-lock.

your false ammonia reading will go down as soon as your bio filtration takes care of it.

They tested my tapwater and it showed just a trace of amonia, I did not clean my filters yet shuold I clean them with the tankwater? Since we have added the ammo-lock I am a little confused on how to test for amonia because everyone has said it will give you a false reading and I need to know how long it will do that. Also how much should I be feeding him once all this clears up He has an 11 in. disk.
