Update on my Vieja Syn. and recent buys

So I still have my 55gal, my parents won't let me upgrade to bigger aquarium lol. I have to get an apartment to get my 110. My Syn & Tilipia are still getting along well together in the 55 along with a few other cichlids. Currently I have a Vieja Syn, Butti, Rainbow, Jack Dempsey, Red Devil, ghost knife, clown pleco, bumble bee catfish, and 2 cores that I can't ID.

I was at my LFS (House of Tropicals - Memphis, Tn) and I saw this JD for $20 and couldn't leave w/o him.





This Red Devil was only $20 so I got him too.

You're right. I'm gonna sell my Butti soon to someone local because they're hard to find in Memphis and MS. As for my RD and JD I really wanna keep them, so I'll see if I can get a 30 gal in my college and bring the RD to school with me. I graduate from college next fall so I'll have my 110 then.

Agreed..I predict the butti to clear house in a 55 eventually.

The Butti won't have a chance to clear house. I've have other 4 other cichlids that he could take his aggression out on and it he does became that aggressive I will trade/sell back to my LFS.

That is a nice jd. I like the fish but yeah, thin out stock before battle royal erupts.

Often the first sign is a dead or dying descaled fish floating in a corner.

The first signs to serious aggression is not a dead or dying fish. But enough of the over stock comments I know I have too many and I'm making plans for a new tank soon.
