I've been treating with the prazi and metro for 4 days. Have been feeding live blackworms and frozen bloodworms. Though the discus in the tank are growing exceedingly fast, I had not seen the ray feeding whatsoever. UNTIL this morning when I put some bloodworms in. For about 30 seconds, he displayed what I believed to be feeding activity but then swam away. I figured what the heck and put some more bloodworms in to be sure he couldn't iss them and walked away. About 20 minutes later my daughter hollers out to me "Dad, he's eating!" She had been watching him and was able to see him taking worms into his mouth. I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch, but I'm more optimistic now than I have been in a long time. If this trend continues and he comes back from the brink, I have you folks to thank.

Do you have sand in your tank?

So far so good! I picked up a dozen tiny feeder guppies today too. Something our local store does not carry. I made a pilgrimage to Thatfishplace today. I'm guessing most of you have heard of that.

Bcfd144, yes, I have about 2" of white pool filter sand on the bottom.

Saw him eat again this evening. He's mouthing a lot of the bloodworms as well but spitting them back out. Some go down the hatch, some don't. Can't believe a bloodworm could be too big???
that can be pretty normal. even with chopped up nightcrawlers, mine still spit them back up before downing them again, sometimes multiple times. as long as you're seeing stuff start to disappear, that's a good sign.
