I got a new camera so I took a few quick shots to test it out. It takes pretty good pictures already. I'm sure when I learn all the features, they'll get better. Anyway, check 'em out.

New 16" rescued Oscar...

Freddy(/loiselli?)...
The loiselli fry in the photo have lasted three weeks today. They've tied the record set by the motas for lasting the longest. There are many more loiselli fry at this point than the motas had at the three week mark, at least 500. But, the motas started with about 1,000 while the loisellis started with an unbelievable 3,000 or more.
The rescue Oscar in the picture is from a neighbor of mine. He told me the other day he would like for me to take him as he was getting too big for his 75g. Imagine my surprise when I get there to find a 16"+ Oscar in with a juvie jag and a 6" female JD. Another reason he was looking for me to take him was the Oscar was getting beat up on by the little 6" jag. He was covered with wounds on one side. He's healing up nicely. Also, this Oscar has been extremely friendly with my big 14" albino Oscar. They look to be getting ready to spawn any time now.
Should the Oscars spawn, that will make four confirmed breeding pairs. These are a pair of loisellis, a pair of jags, and a pair of motas. So far so good regarding aggression issues. There is still none to really speak of besides parents chasing intruders out of their nests when there's fry around. But, so far, this hasn't resulted in any injuries. You can see my stock list in my sig line.
Thanks for looking and thanks for this great forum.
