hello guys! thanks for answering my last thread abt re-pairing convict.
heres a lil update, i took out the female and put her in another tank with feeders on it only,
redecorated her last tank as the bros suggested me to do...
question is, how long till i let her stay in her holding tank?
its only the male now in her old tank and finally feeling a lil bit bolder w/o the aggresive female around...

(side story: in that tank, there some 3-4 con fry from the mother that i couldnt get..
i accepted that the male myt eat it. its ok. but to my amazement as i was looking the male took the frys in its mouth BUT DIDNT ATE IT... instead he relocated those frys thats not his. lol i was like wtf! :screwy:  )

i would try to get the rest of the fry out...........she will most likely defend them if you put here back in.......so get them out and then i'd say you'd be fine putting the female back in right away...........

Dummy me I just posted on your other thread, didn't see this one. I see you had her fry in the tank, thats why she wouldn't pair up with the new male, and even without the fry she had an established territory. you've done right by removing her and rearanging. What may happen is if that male has adopted those fry he may protect them from her so I would get those fry out of there. That will make things easier.
