Hey! not been on for a while. heres an update on Ron. Hes now between
3.5" - 4" inches and hes 4 months old. Thought id post these pics i got the other day, pretty good ones i think. hes been eating live feeders, cod/coley, shrimp and ive even managed to get him eating high end flakes, so hes gettin loads of vitamins for his growth.
done a bit of a tank revamp aswell...lol
still a bit camera shy

cool, they are pretty slow growers right?

yeah very slow especially after the 1st year
 
looks good. does he hide all the time and bang his head on the glass?
 
sometimes, mainly if other people are looking at him, visitors etc..
he is more active at night, like right now he is swimming at the front of the tank up and down the length of it. he never hides from me tho, he chases my finger and tries to bite, he also tries to attack the parrot and the dog through the glass...LoL
as for banging his head, he only does that if he darts when he gets spooked by something
 
they were imported to my lfs, a batch of 10, by the time they arrived there was only 4 alive...lol
they were labeled as white piranha.
ive compared him at 2" to pics of 2" rhoms on the internet on documented sites and he looks identical, the goldy brown upper body colour, jaw shape and spots were exactly the same (and obviously the shape)
why what do u think it could be if not a rhom?

remember the thread when i first got him? with the pics?
this was him at between 1.5"-2"

 
its just tough to tell at that size... he has the look of a few different serras imo--- youll have a much better idea when he hits the 4" mark or so--
