Well I havent posted in here in forever in a day. I do still have my beardie and he is doing good. He looks like he might be heading into another shedding. He has gotten much bigger then the pictures I posted on here a while ago so I thought I would share some more recent photos along with photos from him being small so you can see how he has grown.

Also I have a question... have any of you ever seen or heard of a beardie not liking sand? I put calcium sand in his tank and he hates it. He will not walk on the sand unless he has to. He would always sleep on the floor and walk around, with the sand he just sat on the tree branch all day and wouldnt come down. He walked funny when he walked in the sand. He was brought up on papertowels so I put papertowels back into the tank because he seemd to hate the sand. I wasnt sure if that was normal and if its ok to have on papertowels instead? I was told when he got bigger to get him sand - but it didnt go over well so I would rather not.

:)

He looks nice! I dont' know what to tell you about the calcium sand but if you want to use sand I'd swap it out with playsand instead. It's much safer to use. You could always use ceramic tiles for the bottom of the tank too.

I didn't know u had a bearded dragon as well, that's awesome. I got mine 2 days ago and hes the size of my finger haha.
About the sand, mine is on paper towel as well like the way u have it, but im going to put sand in sometime this week. U got me scared he might not like it now :( lol. I dont see nothing wrong with leaving paper towel in if u want, another sugestion would be that small wood chip stuff. Thats what my reptile dealer told me to use but ima try sand out furst.

I have never heard any thing good about calcium sand.....
Great lookin bearded ya got there

thanks guys =] yess I <3 my Koba!

I dunno the reptile dude at the exotics store down the road told me to use calcium sand. I figured I just stick with papertowels cuse he seems to like them.

VinceC_69 - I was told not to use sand when they are that small to wait untill they are a bigger size. I would love to see pics of yours!

i think its a paper towel...

Wow hes grown a lot! How long did it take to grow him this big?

And if he likes the paper towels just keep using them. I would not use wood chips.

Hes gorgeous!

Cute!

How tame is he?
