Update pics

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well, I can't figure out how to add text with this new uploading systems, so here's a description of the pics.
Pic one: One of my larger retros and a ropefish eating
Pic two: A Nigerian lap. About 7 years old and only 11". None of them grew past this point.
Pic three: Another Nigerian lap and a spotted climbing perch.
Pic four: My fat female del. She eats more than any other fish in there.
Pic five and six: My 12 year old angelicus catfish. He's 9".
Pic seven: My male del. About 10", but much thinner than the female.
Pic eight: Another shot of the female del. She's huge.

Very nice! Your plants stay rooted even with all those guys on the bottom?

Thanks Ben.
The plants are mostly vals, which were started before the big guys were in there. They've become a large network of interconnected plants, so it's pretty hard to move them. Even when the dels bury themselves they rarely uproot one.

Here's the FTS of the 125.

Wow James, the tanks look beautiful! Couple of the nicest bichir setups I've ever seen.

How long were the vals growing before adding the ropes and retros?

Thanks cohazard. I set the tank up for about a month before I added the dels and climbing perch. They were about 8" at the time. The angelicus cat and one lap went next, then the other laps about a month ago. I'm still waiting to add my ornates. I'm not sure if I want to add them before a get a few more rocks to stabilize some of the plants. My large female is 18". She may challenge those plants. :)
