So, as my Cichla have matured a little, they appear to be ocellaris/monoculus hybrids. There is quite abit of variation among them. Some have more of a bar pattern, some more of a spotted pattern, some are developing the black belly typical of monoculus, and some with more ocellations around their spots or stripes then others. Anyone have some good pics of known hybrids as adults? Here are some pics taken over the last week.
