It's a 40. But I have a 90 gallon for just him, it's just not set up yet. He's not full size though, so he's fine in the tank he's in right now.
Where did you get him from.and to me he is trying to blind with your rocks.If you want to Bring out hes color you should get red rock or red mixed with white.this would bring hes colors out better.He is a very nice piece I wish he was mine.Tank looks way to small
Surprisingly I got him from a Pet Supplies Plus near where I live. They sometimes get the most random fish in. I was there one day, saw him (beat up by some puffer fish) and decided I had to have him. I got him for $5 when he was about an inch. I was afraid he was going to be crappy quality, but for getting him from PSP, he's not too bad. His flowerline popped once he got healed and was in a tank with some less aggressive fish (which he subsequently beat up, lol). He's now about 4.5/5 inches and by himself in a 40 gallon. I have a 90 that's just for him, but it's not set up yet. He'll be moved there within the next month.
yeah he is blending with the rocks...In his 90 put a bright background and bright rocks and watch what happens to him after a day or two
What color would be best? I originally had white rocks in the tank and he became so light and had almost no color. People seem to be suggesting red...?
He's a gorgeous fish. But his dark color looks like my FH when I tried him on black sand
