So its been approx. 2 months or so since I posted pics of my little guy and he has grown abit and his colors are just beautiful.
I am hoping someone might be able to tell me what kind of fish I have.

Here are a few pics I snapped of him today!

Vieja Bifasciatum or synspilum.

Yes, I believe you all may be correct. I am hoping that he or she will get along with everyone in my 90 gal. I did a search on synspillum and it says they can be semi-aggressive with their own kind and that they should be kept with similar behavior fish. It seems the bigger he gets the more dominant he gets in my tank. My 4 in Acara and him have had several "stand offs" but the synspillum gives in and swims off to another area of the tank.

Looks to me like a Melanurus due to the elongated body and eye color. Could be a hybrid or a variant of some kind. I have both and I would say this is closer to my melanurus than my synspilum.

Yeah but how would you know which one it is because they look so much alike!??!!!!

i think melaranus also,i have two synspilum and they look a bit different on the body shape, what ever it is its a beautiful fish should be a stunner when it is older

could that be a p. fenestratus? first pic is what i think is a catamaco second is of one i bought as a wid caught pink morph which was quickly killed by first fish.
