I think it looks stunning!!!! intense red/orange!! Looks just like mine only a little thicker and taller
i'm leaning twards male because of the long dorsal and pelvic fins... here is some info on how to vent them yourself if you cant get any pics

First of all - look at her belly - I know that people often tell us that their fish is full of food, but having had Cichlids for years and years, there is no mistaking a female that is full of eggs. Your fish has that look, and she is pretty rounded in appearance. A male has a more masculine face, if that makes sense. More "muscly" At this size, a female's head looks pretty much like what yours looks like - a male would have a more defined nuchal hump. Both sexes can have the long flowing fins. Enjoy!
you might be right but when my female midas lays eggs here head hump gets huge..... Thats has happened at least 5 times... I also have a male RD with almost no head hump
thanks guys, i can try to get vent picks up soon...i've had this fish for about sixteen months now, got it at about 2 inches, now its between 9 and 10...if it is a female, how much bigger could i expect it to get?
