please pardon the glass :(

The first pics are of the 2 males and the last pics are of the 2 females. One couple is in a 75 gallon with the divider you see in a few of the pics, and the other couple is in a 125 with a couple of other cichlids...they're tails are a bit ragged but growing back.

I'm going to be doing some rearranging soon and getting rid of a few fish. Still trying to decide exactly how I want to do it. :)

Interesting divider setup. That first male is awesome!

thanks :) yeah the white male is def my fav. he is at about 8.5" SL and as you can see very thick and bulky.

as for that divider, i had used it a long time ago in my 125 with a pair of festae but in the 75 they are in it's not working as well, mainly because the male xilo is less tolerant of the female than the male festae was of his female....so the female festae didn't 'have' to spend much time in there but the female xilo is in there most of the time.

like i said though i'm going to have to do some rearranging very soon and they're going to go back into the 125...just have to decide what all i'm going to get rid of in the 125.

:)

Awesome , Jason! thanks for sharing!

Very nice indeed, didn't know they grew humps.

oh yeah they definitely grow humps :) both of their humps actually went down just a little bit....time for water changes. anyone else ever notice that? when keeping an amphilophus red-devil type with a large hump, the hump tends to go down if you happen to miss a water change or go an extra day or 2 without doing one, and then it goes right back to where it was shortly after the water change is complete? I've noticed that on all my red devil types that i've kept. sort of a built in water parameter guage :) lol

thank you guys for all the comments and compliments. i don't have any new vids yet but i did just get my old digi cam working and took some vids of my 55 gallon planted tank and several of my abnormally striped clown loaches (they're in the 55 for now but believe me, accommodations will be made as they grow larger)....for anyone interested in that, be sure to keep an eye on the loach gallery in the coming days. :)

and I will get some updated xilo vids asap after i do water changes and clean up the glass on their tanks.

:)
