ok so here are a few update shots of my flowerhorns
but i also was wondering
could u guys help me with an id of their strains
i would like to know when they would be ready to breed
my male is already showing a little spunk always flaring by the divider
and is it a bad idea to let them see each other while they grow out
or should i place them in their own tanks

female is ready now, male still needs some time. When he reaches a year old is best. I would not feed that female too much though, you want her 1/3-1/2 the size of the male.

yeah with the female im only feeding her once a day every other day
while im feeding the male 2-3x a day
but any idea what strain they could be

Feed her every day but smaller portions... Both fish are beautiful!

beantickler-will do ill try to do a 2x a day feeding with a small portion and i just hope my male catches up and surpass her size
