Updates of my gar and P.bass

My gar is now 7 inches and my P.bass is not far behind here are some pictures of them I took today, still wondering what the gar is. I am kind of leaning towards florida or spotted. Anyone know?

I love these baby's fortunitly for me my wife saved my gar for me once already he jumped out and she found him before it was too late. Now I'm parinoid that hes gonna get out again. Can't wait to get them into my big tank once its built.
