don't mind the male bowfin he is just pissed cause he lost the top dog spot to the other male bowfin. they have been reestablishing dominance and as you can see they are not afraid of anything. they pick on the other fish after they lose then go back to normal.

what are the dimensions of your 180?

thanks i got lucky with them lngs!

solomon warned me when they were smaller, but i didn't think at this size, i can't believe it but, i am 98% sure my largest grow out florida ate my smaller cuban!:swear: i didn't think it could since it was over half its size, but it is full and i just fed some pellets to them and it didn't eat any while my cuban is gone and it looks full. that dirty bastard!!!!! i have moved it to the big tank to see how that goes since it is about 12" now or so maybe more. so far no aggression from the other gars or bowfins.

ya, i wanted to keep it separated for longer to bulck up more. i had to combine them again since my replacement gatf (had 3 gatfs but 1 died in a qt overnite so the lfs replaced it for me) was to small for the other 2 not to eat i had to put it in the cubans tank. i knew the cuban would eat or kill the gatf so i had no choice. i am pissed. all this moving and changing of things for my apt to do some work to my broken ac unit and it is still early march. then they used a pesticide in here and killed all my aros and most of my big cats, witch they now have changed their story on since i told them they killed about $1000 worth of fish. just feel like i am chasing my tail this year.
