Hey all!

Figured I'd drop in and say Hi, as well as get some advice to start my time off here :)

Just to let you all know exactly what I'm dealing with here, I have 2 fancy goldfish (One Lionhead, One Oranda, I will post pictures when I get done with their latest tank cleaning) and they are huge. My mom loves to call them "Floating Softballs," and they are my babies.

That being said, they are getting a tank upgrade! Currently they are together in an Aqueon 55 gallon tank, I have 3 Fluval filters: 1 Hang on the Back 5 stage 50 gal, 1 Hang on the Back 5 stage 70 gal, and 1 45 gal canister filter #206 if I remember correctly. (Let's face it they're goldfish they make a lot of waste to begin with, then figure in how huge they are.)

I'm hoping to get them a 90 gallon tank, and while I am a big fan of Aqueon tanks and seriously want to get them a 90 gal. Aqueon. My Mother wanted to check around and found a 90 gallon Perfecto for less money.

Now, I have read on here and other forums about Perfectos having leaks, explosions, cracks, etc. And I want to make sure that my babies are safe because I can't replace them and I'd love to expand this pair into a school by getting some more goldies.

That being said, please let me know from your experiences what's worked better for you: Aqueon or Perfecto.

If I even consider looking at these Perfecto tanks I will be taking measurements of the glass, checking seals, and I may even go as so far as to ask the place if we can do a leak check. (It's "That Fish Place, That Pet Place" in Lancaster that has the Perfectos, so I'm hoping they can do that if I feel it needs to be done.)

Thanks for the help guys!

I've not experienced any issues whatsoever with Perfecto aquariums. My 225 is a Perfecto (Perfecto 220, technically), and it has been running for 6 years now, never set perfectly level, and moved once, but I have yet to see the slightest sign of wear.
