So i got the 125 gallon i mentioned in another thread. It came with all the accessories, although the gravel didn't make it home and I feel it is under filtered.
I had about 50-60 lbs. of white gravel in a rubber maid tub. I had the tail gate down b/c the tank extended beyond my bed with the tub of fish in the front. It was late and I still had a 90 mile ride home. I was tired and in a hurry a and forgot to secure the tub. Didn't get 1/2 block before I stopped at a stop sign on a steep hill. Went to pull off and crash! All I have to say about that is bed liners suck! Everything is always sliding around back there and I'm to cheap to buy a mat. Anyway, as far as the filtration is concerned, it has 2 new Cascade 300 filters. The box does specify that they can handle up to 100g tank and they are 300 gph x the 2 filters. So i guess in theory they should be okay, but when I walked in the guys house the water was a dark brown. Couldn't hardly see the fish. He said it's b/c he hadn't done a W/C in a few weeks and he had stirred the gravel draining it, but we will see how they do. They just seem small for that big of a tank. I have 2 Emp 400's on my 75g.

The fish- as I also mentioned in another thread, it came with 2 large oscar, 2 very large black fin pacus, 1 large peco, and a 4" cat fish which I don't know what it is. It's black w/ white horizontal stripes if anybody wants to help me out with that.
I was told the 2 pacus were 8", well the biggest is 13" and the other hasn't gotten close enough to the glass to hold a tape measure to, but it's not far behind. Maybe 10" or 11".
The two pacus I think I may have a home for (I hope). A friend of a friend has a very large outdoor pond, maybe 3 or 4000g they want to put the in. They are going to research and see if they will be ok with their koi and large gold fish. Although, it does get cold where I live and does frost in winter so I guess come winter they are going to put them in a filtered pool from walmart in their basement is what they mentioned.
The 2 ocars I will find homes for. A friend of mine use to keep them and is considering getting these. He just has to get a tank b/c he hasn't kept oscars for years. If he decides that he don't want them, I don't think they will be hard to rehome. They seem fairly popular at the lfs.
So that leaves me with the large peco which i will keep in this tank and the small cat, which he the guy told me he don't remember what type it is, but is full grown. If that is in fact the case, I will add it to my 75g when the fish that are in it grow to equal size.

pics pics pics
what sort of oscars

It will be a day or two before I can get pics. My 2 year old has lost my battery charger for the camera and once I do get them they won't be good because she also lost my decent camera.
I don't know what kind of oscars. When I get the pics up you can see for your self. I hope the pics come out good enough for you to tell. One is like a dark chocolate color with orange about 8-9 inches and the other is white and orange and is about 6-7 inches.

why not keep the oscars if you can't find a home for them?

B/c I prefer a multiple specimen tank and I am told in another thread that oscars don't do well with other fish. The guy I guy them from also told me the oscar are mean and he was affraid of them :ROFL:b/c they try to bite him and bully the pacu. He also said the the cat NEVER comes out of hiding. Not sure if it's b/c it's nocturnal or b/c the oscars bully him too. Maybe you know.

Oscars are not so aggressive that you can't keep other fish with them. Usually they are not the losing end of aggression/fights. There are plenty of fish that can be kept with oscars, such as severums

I wouldn't mix with bluegill, mostly because bluegills are not tropical fish and won't like the higher temperatures for prolonged periods of time.
Here is a general list of possible tankmates from you to ponder/research, keep in mind that it is just in general, since different fish have their own personalities. Options include chocolate cichlids, blue acaras, severums, Geophagus brasiliensis, pearsei, robertsoni, bay snooks.
